We are thrilled to announce the 9th International Congress, taking place in İzmir from September 12-14, 2024. This autumn event will be held in conjunction with the EMBO Young Scientists Forum (EYSF), promising an enriching experience for all.

Our host, the İzmir Institute of Technology, will provide a dynamic scientific program with esteemed speakers. The congress will be a hub for knowledge exchange and collaborative discourse, promoting molecular biology's progress.

The EYSF, on September 10-11, will precede the congress, offering emerging scientists a stage to interact with experts and present their innovative research.

Congress Language
Official congress language is English. All plenary lectures, panels, sessions, oral and poster presentations will be presented in English. Congress proceedings book will be published in English.No simultaneous translation will be available throughout the congress.

Certificate of Attendance
All registered participants who attend the conference will receive a certificate of attendance. Certificate of attendance will be presented in PDF format and only distributed digitally. You can download your certificate of attendance through MolBiyoKon24' Online Registration Platform once the congress has concluded.

Congress Abstract Book
Congress abstract book will be published digitally in English only. The abstract book will be published as a supplement of Turkish Journal of Biology.

Abstract Submission

Molecular Biology Resarchers!

We encourage you to submit your work and present it during the MolBiyoKon24’. Contribute to the enriched scientific program and publish your abstract in the congress proceedings book. Each presenter is entitled to present 1 abstract either as a poster or a short oral presentation, however there is no limit on the number of abstracts you are an author in. Please note that all presenting authors should be registered to the congress for their abstract to be evaluated and accepted.
 
Abstract submission deadline is end of day Thursday, August 1st, 2024. No abstracts will be accepted after this deadline.
 
Minor amendments on abstracts can be submitted before this deadline. After the abstracts are sent to the scientific committee for evaluation, they cannot be amended.
 
All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by at least 2 referees appointed by the scientific committee in double blind method. The result of abstract evaluations will be sent to submitters via e-mail within 30 days after the abstract submission ends.
 
Poster and Oral presentations will be available at MolBiyoKon24’. Since the oral presentations slots are limited, some authors who submit their abstracts to be presented as oral presentations might be asked to change their presentation type to poster. This information will be available on the evaluation result information letters. >

Abstract Submission Guidelines 
  • All abstracts will be submitted in English.
  • All abstracts should be submitted through the online abstract submission & evaluation system at https://abstract.eventigizer.com/molbiyokon2024
  • The title of the abstract should be written in “First Letter Uppercase and Rest of the Word Lowercase”.
  • Make sure to list authors in the correct order and select the presenting author when asked.
  • Indicate full author affiliations (full institution name, city, and state) in English.
  • All abstracts should be structured in 4 parts and below headers should be included in the abstract:
    •     Background/Aim
    •     Materials and Methods
    •     Results
    •     Conclusion 
  • Abstracts will not be allowed to exceed 300 words (excluding titles).
  • Text should be concise and clear. Abbreviations should be defined at first mention.
  • Take careful consideration for typing errors
  • List minimum 3, maximum 5 keywords.
 
Poster and Oral presentation guidelines
  • Posters should be prepared and printed with the dimensions:
    70cm width and 100cm height.  
  • Presenters are expected to print and bring their poster to the congress. The congress secretariat will not provide a poster printing service.​
  • Oral presentations are encouraged to prepare a 5-10 slide presentation.
  • Each oral presentation is expected to present around 10-12 minutes followed by a 3-5 minute discussion period. Please be advised that the durations of presentations are subject to change according to final program of the congress.

Scientific Program

Grants

Molecular Biology Association of Turkey will provide registration grants for its' young investigator members. Please find below grant application guidelines:

All applicants should :
- be a member of Molecular Biology Association of Turkey
- be under the age of 35 (born on or after 1989)
- complete their congress registration payment
- apply for grant via the online registration platform before August 1st, 2024.

Applicants who meet the requirements will be evaluated by the organizing committee and informed about the status of their application before August 10th, 2024

  • Breakfast is not inlcuded in the mentioned prices, and there is no breakfast service in the guesthouse premises. However there is a restaurant serving breakfast only 50 meters from the guesthouse. 
  • All bookings are done per room, and not individuals. If you are accommodating with friends and wish to change your booking, please be informed that the whole room's booking will have to be changed. 
  • In the rooms; bathroom-WC, kitchenette (mini fridge + electric cooker), 24-hour hot water, air conditioning (heating / cooling), WI-FI and car parking services are provided within accommodation fees.
  • Izmir Institute of Technology Campus has restaurants, cafes, fastfood places, laundry and shopping centres.
  • Single and Double Accommodation options are limited and room assignments will be made in accordance with the availability of IYTE Guesthouse.
KYK Dormitories
Participants who want to stay in IYTE KYK Dormitories during MolBiyoKon'24 can make their applications through our registration system.
  • In KYK dormitories, rooms are for 4 persons and bathrooms and toilets are located in the room.
  • Applications will be received individually and rooms will be assigned by dormitory staff through pairings.
  • The room fee will be around 35 - 40 TL per night. The price includes only beds. Hygiene materials and meals are not included.  Payments will be collected in cash from the congress registration desk.
Cancellation Policy
  • Full refund except for bank/credit card charges until August 1st, 2024.
  • 50% refund for cancellations made between August 1st and September 1st, 2024.
  • No refund for cancellations made after September 1st, 2024.
  • All cancellation requests must be done in writing to molbiyokon24@evronas.com and confirmed in order to be valid. Refunds will be made after the end of the congress.
